THIS CONTEST IS OPEN TO AGE OF MAJORITY CANADIAN RESIDENTS ONLY AND IS GOVERNED BY CANADIAN LAW.

NO ENTRY FEE. NO PURCHASE NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN. Contest begins on January 28th, 2009 at midnight Pacific Time ("PT") and ends on April 3rd, 2009 at 11:59pm PT (the "Contest Period").

  1. Eligibility: Contest is open to legal residents of Canada excluding Quebec (with an active e-mail account and Internet access) who have reached the age of majority in their province of territory of residence at the time of entry, except employees (and those with whom such employees are domiciled) or agents of Ubisoft Divertissement Inc. (the "Sponsor"), its parent companies, affiliates, subsidiaries, advertising, promotion, and fulfillment agencies. This Contest is subject to all applicable federal, provincial and municipal laws. Void where prohibited by law. The decisions of the Sponsor with respect to all aspects of this Contest, including without limitation, eligibility and/or disqualification of entries, are final and binding on all entrants without right of appeal.
  2. To Enter: To enter the Contest, visit http://farcry.ubi.com/contest (the Website) to access your Ubisoft account (the "Account") or to create your Account online as indicated on the Website during the Contest Period (creating an Account is free), then provide your answers to each the three (3) multiple choice questions set forth on the Website and submit your entry in the Contest. While you must provide an answer to all three questions in order to enter the Contest, correct answers are not required (although, as provided below, in order to be confirmed as a winner, you will be required to correctly answer a mathematical skill-testing question). All eligible entries received during the Contest Period will be entered in the random draw. Limit one entry per person, per email address and per computer permitted during the Contest Period and entrants may use only one e-mail address, Account and Account password and user name to enter the Contest. If it is discovered that you attempted to enter more than once during the Contest Period, then all your entries will be void. Use of any automated system to register and/or submit entries, and/or use of a false email address, is prohibited and will result in disqualification. At the time of entry, you will be required to provide your answer to a mathematical skill-testing question, to confirm that you have read and agree to be bound by these Official Rules and, without limiting the foregoing that you agree to the release provided in Rule 6 and that, if confirmed as a winner, you agree to accept the prize as awarded. All entries become the property of the Sponsor and will not be returned. Sponsor assumes no responsibility for lost, stolen, delayed, damaged, incomplete or misdirected entries or for any failure of the Website (or any other website) during the Contest Period, for any problems or technical malfunction of any telephone network or lines, computer on-line systems, servers, access providers, computer equipment, software, failure of any e-mail or entry to be received by the Sponsor on account of technical problems or traffic congestion on the Internet or at any website, or any combination thereof including any injury or damage to an entrant's or any other person's computer related to or resulting from playing or downloading any material in the Contest. Sponsor reserves the right, in its sole discretion, subject only to the approval of the Rgie des alcools, des courses et des jeux ("Régie") and without prior notice or liability, to cancel, modify or suspend this Contest, or to amend these Official Rules, in whole or in part, in the event of any printing, administrative, communication or other error of any kind, or in the event that any fraud, technical failures or malfunctions (including any network server or software or hardware failure or malfunction), viruses, bugs, programming or communication errors or other causes of any kind corrupt the administration, integrity or security of the Contest or if any other factor interferes with the conduct of this Contest as contemplated by these Official Rules. Any attempt to deliberately damage any website or to undermine the legitimate operation of this Contest is a violation of criminal and civil laws, and should such an attempt be made, Sponsor reserves the right to seek remedies and damages to the fullest extent permitted by law. All entries are subject to verification by Sponsor. Entrants agree to abide by these Official Rules and the decisions of the Sponsor, which are final and binding, without right of appeal, with respect to all aspects of the Contest, including without limitation, eligibility and/or disqualification of entries.
  3. Winner Selections: On three different days during the contest period (listed below), 100 people from the eligible entrants will be selected 5 days before the gaming night by an independent judging organization from all eligible entries received during the Contest Period. The odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received. Selected entrants will be contacted by email and will be given further instructions and passwords. In order to be declared a winner, you must have provided the correct answer to the required mathematical skill-testing question and to have otherwise complied with these Official Rules.

    1st Gaming night (February 19th, 2009), 100 eligible entrants will be randomly picked and informed on or about February 16th, that registered from January 28th to February 16th at midnight PST.
    2nd gaming night (March 12th, 2009), 100 eligible entrants will be randomly picked and informed on or about March 9th, 2009 , that registered from January 28th to March 6th at midnight PST.
    3rd gaming night (April 9th), 100 elligible entrants will be randomly picked and informed on or about April 6th, 2009, that registered between January 28th to April 3rd at midnight PST.
  4. Prize: There are a total of three hundred (300) prizes available to be awarded, each consisting of the opportunity to participate in one (1) of three (3) separate "Developer Challenge Nights" events (collectively, the "Developer Challenge Nights" and each a "Developer Challenge Night"), during which the selected entrant will have an opportunity to play online the Jungle Seizure map in the game Far Cry 2 against the developers of Far Cry 2 (and other confirmed selected entrants who have been assigned to the same Developer Challenge Night) for a twenty (20) minute period The Developer Challenge Nights are currently scheduled for February 19th, 2009; March 12th, 2009; April 9th, 2009 (during each of which 100 of the total of 300 selected entrants, as determined by the Sponsor, will play). Selected entrants will be contacted by e-mail (see Rule 5 below) and advised as to which Developer Challenge Nights they have been assigned and will be given a password and further instructions with respect to how to participate in the Developer Challenge Night. There is no monetary value to the prize (the "Prize"). Prizes must be accepted as awarded and are not transferable or convertible to cash. No substitutions except at Sponsor's option. In order to participate in the Development Challenge Night, the selected entrant must have installed on his/her computer the Jungle Seizure map and the game Far Cry 2 and must have access to the internet. Selected entrants will not be required to purchase either the map or game, however the map is available for free download via the Website and if a selected entrant does not have a copy of the game, he/she can download one (1) free copy of the game at any time prior to the applicable Developer Challenge Night by following the instructions for free game download that will be provided in the e-mail notifying him/her of his/her selection as a selected entrant.
  5. Notification of Selected Entrants: Selected entrants will be notified of their selection as a potential winner by e-mail sent to the e-mail address associated with his/her Account within five (5) business days of the Draw Date. If the selected entrant cannot be contacted by email within five (5) business days of the Draw Date, has failed to correctly answer the required skill-testing question, otherwise fails to comply with these Official Rules, or is unable for any reason to participate on the designated Development Challenge Night, he/she will forfeit the prize and the Sponsor reserves the right to select an alternate entrant from all remaining eligible entries. In the event of a dispute regarding who submitted an entry, the entry will be deemed submitted by the authorized account holder of the e-mail account associated with the entrant's account. "Authorized account holder" is defined as the natural person who is assigned to an e-mail address by an Internet access provider, online service provider, or other organization (e.g., business, educational institution, etc.) that is responsible for assigning e-mail addresses for the domain associated with the submitted e-mail address. No automatically generated entries will be accepted.
  6. General Rules: By entering or attempting to enter the Contest, you agree to be bound by these Official Rules and by all decisions of the Sponsor. By participating in this Contest, each entrant agrees to: (i) the publication, reproduction and/or other use of his/her name, address, voice, statements about the Contest and/or photograph or other likeness in any form without further compensation, in any publicity or advertisement carried out by the Sponsor in any manner whatsoever, including print, broadcast or the Internet should the entrant be confirmed as a winner in the Contest; (ii) to release and hold harmless the Sponsor, Microsoft Canada Inc., their respective parents, affiliates, subsidiaries, directors, officers, employees, sponsors, and agents, including advertising and promotion agencies, from any and all losses, damages, rights, claims, actions, liability of any kind with respect to the Contest, the entrant's participation in the Contest or the acceptance, possession or use of any prize, including without limitation: (a) any condition caused by events beyond the Sponsor's control that may cause the Contest to be disrupted or corrupted; (b) any injuries, losses, or damages (compensatory, direct, incidental, consequential or otherwise) of any kind arising in connection with or as a result of: the prize, or acceptance, possession, or use/misuse of the prize: participation in the Contest; or any printing or typographical errors in any materials associated with the Contest.

    In addition, by entering this Contest, each entrant agrees to indemnify Sponsor for all claims, costs and expenses arising out of any violation by such selected entrant of these Official Rules. The Sponsor reserves the right to disqualify any selected entrant, whom the Sponsor, in its sole discretion, determines has violated these Official Rules.
  7. Privacy: By entering this Contest, each entrant expressly consents to the Sponsor, its agents and/or representatives, storing, sharing and using the personal information submitted with his/her entry only for the purpose of administering the Contest (unless the entrant otherwise agrees) and in accordance with Sponsor's Privacy Policy (English) and (French). The Sponsor will not sell, rent, transfer or otherwise disclose your personal data to any third party.
  8. Winner's List: For a list of prize winners or a copy of these Official Rules, send your request and a stamped, self-addressed envelope to: Far Cry 2 Developer Challenge, Ubisoft Canada, Promotions department, 5505 St-Laurent Blvd, Suite 5000, Montreal, Qubec, H2T 1S6 or (for Winner's list only) or send an e-mail message to VS@ubisoft.com with "Winner's list" as the e-mail subject and Sweepstakes name specified in the body of the e-mail.
